Xinjiang, China
URUMQI, kashgar, Karakoram HIGHWAY | 09.2013
Xinjiang is the western-most province of China, and the perfect juxtaposition between East and West — culturally and geographically. Home to most of China's Muslim population, an ethnic group known as the Uighurs, the province is known for its delicious food, beautiful people, and stunning landscapes. Coming from Chinese and European descent, I felt as if I belonged there. One of my all-time favorite trips.
